About Yoga Fit:

YogaFit is designed to improve the health, performance, and mental acuity of athletes or individuals interested in improving their level of fitness. Based on the ancient fitness science of hatha yoga, it blends balance, strength, flexibility and power in a fitness format. YogaFit overcomes the mystery of yoga by delivering a practical, user-friendly style, which is accessible, understandable, and doable by individuals at any level of fitness. The YogaFit style reduces the risk of injury and augments recovery for ailments including stress, lower back pain and tension.

The mission of YogaFit is to bring healing yoga to the masses. Yoga is a gift for the body and the mind. YogaFit also encourages and supports the philosophy of “Conscious Business.” We believe that socially responsible companies prosper from good will and good Karma. Together we are changing the paradigm of what it means to do good business

Class Descriptions:

All of the classes offered at Fusion are taught in the YogaFit style with options to avoid injury and allow for students at different levels to enjoy their practice.

Beginner:

The beginner class introduces the fundamental principles of alignment and breath work in a flow of postures linked together by the breath. Students will be introduced to yoga postures through step-by-step verbal description and demonstration. Emphasis is placed on student understanding, safety, and stability within each pose. Gradually these poses will be linked together into a gentle flowing sequence. If you have never tried yoga this is the class for you, designed to meet the needs of those new to yoga as well as those seeking continued understanding of basic yoga poses. Students are welcome to repeat this class as often as they like.

Basics:

Balance and peacefulness result from attention to breath as we move through physical “asana” yoga practice. The basic postures introduced in Beginning Yoga will serve as our foundation for each class sequence. Modifications are suggested as needed. Some yoga experience is helpful, although not required. Open to everyone with the ability to move through seated, standing, kneeling, and reclined positions unassisted.

Restorative:

This gentle class will guide you through body opening poses, loosening tension and relieving stress. Moving at a slower pace and holding stretches longer will allow you to relax your mind and your body. Leave relaxed, content, and ready to take on the day! Open to students of all levels. This class is also gentle enough to take during pregnancy.

Energize:

Energize Yoga is a challenging class of consistent poses in flowing transition with a focus on core strength, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, and an overall sense of well-being. We will build upon basic yoga poses to target specific muscle groups while maintaining safe alignment to reduce the risk of injury. Students need to feel comfortable with Sun Salutations and advanced poses. This class builds strength and balance physically AND mentally, and leaves you feeling energized. Be ready to sweat!

Vinyasa Flow:

Vinyasa is dynamic flow Yoga with a emphasis on breath/body movement. We hold poses, but our focus is on the transition between poses and the body control we develop therein.

Align + Flow:

Align is flow is a vinyasa style class for all levels of yogis. We’ll focus on the anatomy and alignment of each pose as we move through our asanas.
